Our judges David St. John and Percival Everett have selected the winners of the 2011 Poetry and Fiction Chapbook Competitions! Congratulations to Natalie Peeterse for her poetry chapbook Black Birds : Blue Horse, An Elegy and to Jay Shearer for his fiction chapbook The Pulpit vs. The Hole! Percival Everett selected Kyle Winkler’s fiction manuscript Half At One Another’s Throats as runner-up, and Bradley Harrison’s poetry collection Diorama of People, Burning was given honorable mention. Gold Line Press publishes the annual winner of the Gold Line Press Chapbook Competition. The series is run by students and alumni of the University of Southern California’s program in Literature and Creative Writing.
